Hi Friends,
We have been in Vermont since Thursday; fully enjoying our visit with Clark and Olga. The colors are still vibrant and the weather has been on the cool side with a fall wind that delicately blows the leaves off the trees. I have been enjoying long walks on Baker Brook Road where I can see and hear the rushing brook, feel the breeze against my face. and watch the colorful leaves falling. So great for the soul. We will post pictures again soon. We'll be exploring some of Vermont before heading out on Oct 25.
Love to all.

First picture: Stopped at a bakery where so many people were lined up and learned that these were baked goods that could not be missed. Sure enough! They were even blessed by the priests to not add any weight to anyone who partakes!
Took the picture on the left early morning across from our camp at Fort Wilkins near Copper Harbor in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. After packing up camp, we drove up a mountain road that led us to views of Lake Superior. Copper Harbor is a peninsula that juts out quite a distance so you can see the sunrise on the East and set on the West. Breath taking! The picture on upper right does not do the views justice but I know you will use your imagination.
Green Bay!
We ended up spending the night walking distance from where the Green Bay Packers play so we went to Curly's Pub at around 9PM. Interesting experience walking into a nearly empty stadium yet we could just sense all the team spirit of those Packers fans! The houses surrounding the field have all kinds of Packers paraphenalia!
Greetings from Niagra Falls
OK. Usually you see this greeting on postcards......most likely from honeymooners. Well, we are staying in a hotel with heart -shaped jacuzzi tubs in the rooms......but on our budget we were lucky to 1 extra pillow and a continental breakfast of Cheerios and toasted bagels.....Yesterday was Canada's Thanksgiving......nothing open but McDonalds, Tim Hortons and Subway.......I think Canada was trying to put us on a starvation diet. The only other thing that way working was the ferry from Manatoulin Island to the Bruce Penninsula just north of Toronto. We took the 8:15 and arrived at 10:00pm. The sunset was magnificent, the trip smooth and we misplaced the map of Tobermoray so had to find the motel by dead reckoning in te dark of night. What a cute little place. Great view of the ferry. The trip to Niagra was great.....lots of ski areas, fall colors still great and the temp around 52 F all day......we still kept the top down until we were almost into Toronto. See pics. Love to all. We have had a respite from our travels here at the very comfortable "Foygel Bed, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks" etc. For those who might not know the wonderful Foygels, they are our Son in Law's parents who live in Highland Park, a suburb of Chicago. Anna and Alex have taken us on such scenic hikes with beautiful views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago Skyline. I will post some pictures in the next day or two.... Thanks for reading!
