Hi Friends,
Hope this finds you all well and taking great care of yourselves. Many friends have asked that I create a blog, so I am going to challenge myself to learn how to do it and discipline myself to make regular posts.
After a wonderful visit with the Baileys in Portland, we set off to see Mount St Helen's but she did not want to be seen that day so we will have to return another time. It was very exciting purchasing our National Parks Pass, though! The clouds did lift yesterday here in Washington as we were driving from our friends' daughter's wedding to the reception allowing us to see beautiful Mt. Ranier. The wedding was spectacular as well! Those Colellas know how to throw a party.
We will head up the Olympic Peninsula to visit Olympic National Park. I am just so excited to have this Parks' Pass in hand... We revamped our packing system in the Mini and we'll be off and running.
Love to all... Sylvia
With cheerie waves and air-kisses we say our final goodbys to you this morning. It doesn't seem like you were with us a week, the time flew by, but I know how anxious you are to start your adventure. It looked like the Mini was coming apart at the seams even though you're carrying only essentials. It's just as well, the best souvenirs are pictures anyway. Thank you again, Brian, for helping Richard with the WC and the roof, it started raining just a while ago! Perfect timing!! And a million thanks to you, Sylvia, for your stratagies!
ReplyDeleteWe're looking forward to your updates, and let us know when you get to SEE that bear.
Hugs, Glenna & Richard
Hey You Guys! I was expecting daily posts- Am I missing something? Only your intro and Glenna's farewell note. Where are you and what's your ETA in VT? Love from Clark and Olga
ReplyDeleteHey, Clark... Hope you got caught up:) We drove over 400 miles today along some of the most beautiful country I have ever seen. I am still not tired of driving my little MINI! Still rain so we only get short bursts of open air driving...and it is getting cold. We might not be doing daily posts if we don't get WIFI or we decide to brave the elements and camp. Love to you guys and looking forward to seeing you. Syl
